In my experience it does a good job at keeping the puzzle intact and sticked on but when it came to rolling it up and storing it it felt a bit flimsy. They work okay in my experience. The only thing was that a big jigsaw got slightly pushed in on itself as it rolled but it wasn t hard to straighten it all out when you unrolled it. I happen to use them myself on my puzzle table. It can be laid out on the floor or dining room table then when you re done working on it for the day it can be rolled up and put away for later. Then the board folds up leaving your puzzle and pieces undisturbed. It was made of felt so the pieces didn t move at all.

You would not want to leave too many loose pieces around the edges in this case though. On the other hand roll up models require more time and effort when you re putting your puzzle away whereas a flat mat usually zips closed in a flash.
