Check with local charities that routinely accept used items for resale such as goodwill or the salvation army. For sanitary reasons and capacity reasons goodwill is not equipped to handle old wall to wall carpet or carpet padding. Vehicles we are now accepting donations of vehicles in all conditions. All of our stores take gently used items in good condition.

You can find all donation sites here. The carpet must be in good used condition or better to qualify for a tax deduction. Goodwill does not accept the following home materials and fixtures. Restore carries different types of new and gently used flooring materials such as ceramic porcelain natural stone mosaic tiles carpet rolls carpet squares area rugs laminate flooring hardwood flooring and various trim and underlayment.

Carpet shutters doors windows toilets lumber concrete bricks stones. Vinyl and ceramic tile must be at least 50 sq ft in excellent condition no chipped or broken pieces accepted. Bring computers and computer related peripherals to any goodwill store or donation bin. All sizes styles and conditions clothing not suitable for resale can be recycled.

Carpet padding must be 10 ft x 10 ft or larger with no visible stains or animal smells. Shoes belts scarves jewelry antiques and collectibles. Hardwood flooring must have no splitting or cracking must be at least 30 sq. Electrical mechanical items that do not work.
